Due to ranking in Return of the Jedi being incorrect for many officers, Chiraneau is shown with a commander's rank in the first image (movie). The second image shows a rank similar to a fleet admiral, but not a rear admiral under legends.

Extra: served as a leader in the Empire's Special Forces. Promoted for his skills and bravery as a scout. He was present aboard the second Death Star during Vader's arrival and later for the Emperor's arrival shortly before the Battle of Endor.

Fel and his Saber Squadron fought in the Battle of Endor, protecting communication ships and a couple of Star Destroyers. In Legends, he took command and revived the 181st Imperial Fighter Group.
