Position Summary
The Program Services Assistant primary responsibilities are:
Answering the business phone and toll-free helpline for the Start at the Foundation Project program.
Receive intake application
Notify future program participants of their status
Skillfully interact with the public and volunteers, respond to inquiries, and/or forward to appropriate staff person.
Process acknowledgements to the offsite housing organizations.
Process and create orders for posters, postcards, admission tickets, directories and other merchandise and materials.
Assist with the distribution process of Welcome Home Kits.
Responsible for all data entry of Start at the Foundation Project, with guest registers into Raisers Edge database software and assists with housing services information into Raisers Edge database software.
Manages day of volunteer placement if applicable and volunteer data entry and reporting through Raisers Edge database.
Assist Administration Coordinator and public relations assistant with press and marketing.
Has flexibility to travel and to work occasional nights and weekends for events. Travel is primarily local and during the season, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Ability to multi-task and produce within specific deadlines
Maturity and experience handling board members and major supporters
Excellent verbal, writing, editing and communication skills
Detailed oriented with a high-quality customer-service ethos and perspective
Ability work collegiality and effectively with colleagues and volunteers
Computer Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Raisers Edge database software, Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing software and contact management systems.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Start at the Foundation Project provides a range of services, including intake assessment, referrals for attorney services and medical services, and finding qualified program participants.
