Good Afternoon!
I don't like sending too many emails, but several of the items in this email are time-sensitive, so I wanted to send out an additional reminder.
First, the registration deadline for the FREE Strawberry Shortcut mile race this weekend is TOMORROW. We only have two athletes signed up so far. Please see information below.
Strawberry Shortcut 1-Mile Fun Run Registration: If your child is interested in participating in the Strawberry Shortcut 1-Mile Fun Run next weekend, we are covering the cost for the first 25 of our Springers' athletes to sign up. Please use this link to register: http://bit.ly/2HCjtR7 Our registration deadline is Thursday, June 14.
If your child wants to participate in the other races (5k and 10K), Joy White offered us a $15 discount for our current Springer athletes. Please use this code while registering: 18Springers https://events.com/r/en_US/registration/strawberry-shortcut-2018-glenwood-springs-june-737378
Also, remember that Pole Vault practice will be tomorrow from 4:00-6:00PM. Coach Kishimoto will also be hosting an extra hurdle practice during this time so feel free to send your child for this practice as well.
If your athlete is planning to compete in the State Junior Olympic Track Meet in Denver the weekend of June 21-24 (or any Denver meets this summer), please start the process of getting a USATF number and registering for the meet as it takes a while to get your child's age verified, etc. (Please see my email from two weeks ago- in this thread- for specific directions or check the "Meets" tab on our website). Please see deadlines below.

Finally, I just wanted to say that I have been out of town for most of the week due to a family emergency. We are doing okay and I will be back next week. Thank you for your understanding, the other coaches are amazing and doing a great job as usual!
Thank you,
Coach Abbey
