Dear Son's Chapel Volunteers,

Today was a beautiful, bright, sunny, and warm @ 70 degrees (ahead of the severe weather/storm forecasts of "March ending like a lion") for 17 quilters/stitchers. We enjoyed lunch treats, deviled eggs from S and "Dish Pan Cookies" from B C. Had to tease B, questioning IF the dish pan was washed/clean and rinsed well!

We had two visitors today: a very verbal Y and K, who has been here previously; but we're not currently on her "filled to the brim" calendar.

Corrections for 3/22: (1) N's daughter-in-law - J visited. (2) S was present (but not listed), making 19 volunteers.

SHOW and TELL: E donated a "churn-dash" pattern pillow top and extra maroon/tan fabric, from a class she and S had taken, and which was given to S, as it matched her quilt. G had on green, "feather & fin" pattern open-gloves and matching socks which she had knitted. J has mastered another skill - "crewel embroidery", finishing a unique pattern/ colorful pillow, and has started another. S brought in the last two, beautiful quilts she and her mother had made together and which she is quilting: a baby quilt, a friendship star pattern in pastels; and a maroon/tan quilt with tiny appliquéd leaves and stems. WHAT precise stitches, true work of art and keepsake to treasure! MY what talents!

QUILTING NEWS: Three tops were sewn: the 2 "Rings..." from last week, and "Mary Had a Little Lamb". D had been ill and absent, but she still managed to embroidery a set of dinosaur squares. We appreciate the fabric donated by E and J. Two more quilts were sold: a printed animal panel and lady bug quilts.

I'll be sending an April Fool's Day story, truth? fact? fiction? or hoax? under separate cover... "April Fool's Day...believe nothing... trust nobody... Just like any other day!"
