How to start organising your Middle East ham radio holiday?

In the Middle East the information on radio equipment importation and amateur radio licensing is different in every country.

To find the radio licensing authority in each Middle East country go to the same two websites recommended for Africa Amateur Radio holidays under How to start organising your Africa ham radio holiday on:

This map shows the Amateur Radio call sign prefix for ham radio stations in every country in the Middle East (and nearby regions).

Somalia has two Prefixes: T5 (not currently used in 2009) and 6O (currently used).

Sub regional Amateur Radio work shop 2005.

The second sub regional work shop on Amateur Radio was held at the National Telecommunications Institute in Cairo, Egypt from 8 – 9 February 2005.

The aim was to raise awareness in the Arab region of amateur radio and its scientific, economic, humanitarian, and social roles.

The International Amateur Radio Union (IARU Region 1) covers the travel and hotel expenses for only one amateur radio operator per society but others are welcome to come at their own expense.

The people who attended came from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria and Tunisia.

* The use of all Logos like the use of the name of all organisations refers directly to their name, their contact details and their website.

* Logos:

1. The entire logo is used to convey the meaning intended and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image.

2. The logo is of a size and resolution sufficient to maintain the quality intended by the organization, without being unnecessarily high resolution.

3. The image is used to identify the Amateur Radio organization, a subject of public interest. The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey.

4. Because it is a logo there is almost certainly no free equivalent. Any substitute that is not a derivative work would fail to convey the meaning intended, would tarnish or misrepresent its image, or would fail its purpose of identification or commentary.

5. Use of the logo in the article complies with Wikipedia non-free content policy, logo guidelines, and fair use under United States copyright law as described above.

6. Non-profit display of logos for certain uses involving identification and critical commentary may qualify as fair use under United States copyright law.

7. Certain commercial use of logo images may be a trademark infringement.

8. Logos are protected by copyright.
