dear class members,
We may or may not get to these papers on Sunday, but I want to send it to you now so that you will have it as a concentration for the next month.
Last month your theme was on tawazu - hospitality and welcome. Have we perfected that in the way we open our hearts to each other, to strangers and newcomers alike? For most of us it is ongoing mindfulness training.
Next month our theme as homework will be Inkisar, which means selflessness. What does selflessness actually mean to you? How can you bridge the paradox between having at least a healthy ego identity and being an empty vessel for the Divine? This is the contemplation for the March class.
Love,
Saki
