I’m a soil scientist at Institute of Soil Science and Environmental Protection. I’m responsible for following teaching activities at my Department: soil resources, soil classification, soil protection and reclamation, environmental impact assessment, natural resources, ecology and environmental protection. Futhermore I’m a leader of Students Scientific Group of Soil Science and Environmental Protection.
My main research interests are focused on: soil and landscape evolution in Pleistocene and Holocene (in terms of interdisciplinary studies), paleoenvironmental reconstructions, soil micromorphology, weathering rates and transformation of clay minerals, dating techniques and procedures (isotopes, 14C, etc.), trace elements in the mountain ecosystems, soil classification (WRB, Soil Taxonomy, Polish Soil Classification). Since 2011 I’m an active member of Polish Society of Soil Science and since 2013 I’m involved in Commission of Mineralogy and Micromorphology .
