I’m a soil scientist. I hold my MSc (2010) and PhD (2014) in agriculture and soil science from the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences. Since 2015 I am working at the Department of Soil Science and Land Protection, Poznań University of Life Sciences. I am teaching following study courses: Soil Science, Organic Soils and Their Role in the Environment, Geography and Classification of Soils, Biodiversity Analyses. My research interests are: soil origin, morphology and properties, soil classification including the applications of WRB, organic soils transformation as an effect of various types of anthropopressure, peatlands development in the Central Sudetes (southern Poland). Since 2015 I’m a full member of Soil Science Society of Poland and International Peatland Society in the peatlands and environment commission.

Research projects:

Anthropogenic and climatic influences on carbon fluxes from managed peatlands located in the close vicinity of the lignite mining - three-year environmental monitoring, 2017-2019, (main investigator)

Spatial diversity of shallow organic soils in the Stolowe Mountains as a result of anthropogenic transformation, 2010-2014, (main investigator)

Evaluation of self-restoration potential and organic matter content development in soils of abandoned vineyards.” Investigation on mineral soils in the abandonment vineyards in Tokaj and Tarcal (Hungary), 2013, (researcher)

Validation of Central European Soil Database; International Visegrad Fund’s Strategic Grant No. 31210072; veryfing of e-Soter base of soils for central European window; Prof Dr Endre Dobos, Miskolc Technical University, 2012-2013, (researcher)
