Whisper of Hope

I enter you room quietly

Hoping you will finally be awake,

Instead, you lay motionless on your pillow.

As I bend down to kiss you, I softly whisper.

“The Roses are blooming.”

The doctors are saying that it does not Look good

You just cannot, leave me I need you!

Who will say, “I love you” when I am sad?

Who will understand when I am angry?

Who will laugh when I act a little crazy?

I would be alone, and afraid without you!

My Sigh echoes through the room as I turn to leave,

On the threshold I take one last glance at you something is different.

Your, begging me to come closer,

When I bend down in the slightest whisper you say.

“I love you too!”

I squeeze your hand and know then that the roses are really truly blooming!
