Dinner

When dinner time roles around

You are nowhere to be found

If I search for you and drag, you out

You will surely pout

Making it harder to get the food down

Delaying our trip to town

When you finally come out from behind the shade,

You do not like the food I made

Instead of eating it

You throw a fit

Now there is food on the ceiling and the floor

The kitchen that was once clean isn't any more.

Spoon full after spoon full you push it away

I guess this just isn't my day

As my final attempt, I try the airplane

But to you it is just the same

Instead of letting the plane land

you gave it a backhand

And with a cry of delight

you send it in flight

Across the room

Where it falls to its doom

It is about time for you to know

I have had enough of your show

I will quit this silly game

You have caused me enough shame

You have been very bad

It is time to turn this feeding over to your dad.
