Tufts University is sponsoring this annual competition. Both public and private school youngsters in grades 9 through 12 will exhibit their projects. The Regional Fair is a stepping-stone to the Massachusetts Science & Engineering Fair at M.I.T. as it affords the students an opportunity to participate in the ‘Science Fair Setting’ at an intermediate level. This provides valuable insight to the project via constructive criticism from their Judging Team. The Regional Fair is also the only way to qualify for the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair.

Please understand that the judging assignments are prepared in advance of the Science Fair from a pool of judges who have registered their availability in advance. Judges who do not register but do come to the Science Fair will have a standby judging status and will be assigned projects the day of the fair as needed. To avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest, judges affiliated with High Schools or are related to students (family member, supervisor, etc.) should not act as judges.

If you have any questions or would like to invite a colleague to judge with you, please have them contact us. We can always use extra judges! It is extremely important that we are aware of your intentions so that we can prepare your judging assignments prior to the fair. We thank professionals like you for your help in making this a worthwhile experience for these hard working students.
