Contact us at PutnamCountyRotary@gmail.com or drop in for a meeting some time!
If you're interested, as a new member you are proposed for membership by any current member after your second Club visit, the proposal for membership is accepted by vote of the current board, and you may then be installed at the Club's next regular weekly meeting!
Each member represents his or her vocation, avocation or past occupation, providing diversity of experience, skills and interests to the Club membership.
Rotary is inclusive, diverse and open to all -- true to our identity as a non-political, non-religious, and non-discriminatory organization.
OBLIGATIONS OF MEMBERSHIP...
Our dues are payable as $35 quarterly, or $70 per half-year. Meal cost is $15 including salad, choices of entrée, soft drinks, coffee or tea, homemade dessert brought by our own members, tax and tip.
We meet the first and third Thursdays each month, 6:30 pm at LJ's in Magnolia. (Meeting schedule may change to accommodate special occasions or holidays -- check out our current bulletin for updates!)
Meeting attendance is recognized but no longer required.
Members find that the benefit of membership is best realized by regularly attending when they can, to enjoy the food, fellowship, brief program, and discussion of service opportunities.
Participation may be a combination of attendance at weekly meetings, participation in committee planning and projects, attending other Rotary Clubs locally or world-wide, or participating in an on-line E-Rotary meeting available 24-7! We recognize and encourage participation, without penalizing anyone who can't regularly attend
Help with the Club's two annual fun & fundraising events! Members are asked to sell (or purchase for family) at least four or five 50-50 Raffle tickets each spring @ $25 each.... and ten Road Apple Bingo squares each fall @ $10 each (see our "Help Us Help" page for the details!)
We have replaced Club "fines" with "happy bucks," giving members an opportunity to give a dollar and announce any happy event in their business, family, church, or even Rotary! The money collected is dedicated for one of several Rotary-supported causes.
There are other opportunities to give, for those financially able to do so -- but none required!

NEW! YOUR BUSINESS CAN PROPOSE TO SPONSOR A YOUNG PROFESSIONAL!
Your organization, municipality or business can sponsor a young professional from your own ranks or from within the community, either to be nominated by you or by Rotary. There are two levels of sponsorship: Dues only sponsorship ($140), or dues and meals sponsorship. Sponsorship can be for the member's first year only or can be ongoing. ... a SMALL investment with a BIG return!
WHY SPONSOR A YOUNG PROFESSIONAL?
Be a HERO to that person, to Rotary, and to our community!
Be recognized for the good things your organization is doing!
Have an impact..... locally AND globally!
Share in the success of a strong and growing international organization known throughout the world!
EVEN NEWER....
A business, agency or non-profit can pay for a corporate membership, under which the lead member may attend as well as several other named representatives of the member organizaiton!
AND....
Spouses/partners can elect to have ONE membership allowing participation by BOTH!
WHY?
Flexibility is key to a younger generation who WANT to be involved and do good things but can't lock into the time commitment or traditional dues of a service organization -- Rotary was created to grow and evolve with changing times and therefore remains the perfect connection for very busy people!
