Who & Why:  Rotarians from Illinois Valley Sunrise, LaSalle, Peru, Princeton & Putnam County, and their guests, are invited to get together for an hour of building connections across clubs in a relaxed, friendly setting.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

If you're a Peru Rotary member:  this will be IN PLACE of our regular club meeting scheduled for Friday 1/23.

If you're a member of another IV area club, please share this with your members, and bring a friend or significant other.

ROADSIDE DONATIONS AT 71-89  ON 9-23-23 NETTED ABOUT $1,000 !  Thanks to all who stopped and contributed!

AND ROAD APPLE BINGO WAS ANOTHER FUN SUCCESS ON 9-23-23, WITH PONY TONKA'S LANDING HER ROAD APPLE AFTER ABOUT A 1 HOUR WALK-AND- WAIT ON THE 500-SQUARE GRID!

$1,000 WINNING SQUARE BELONGED TO ERIN HANSEN, DAUGHTER OF PC ROTARIAN SUE MOTLEY!

PC ROTARY OKTOBERFEST 6-8 pm at Lost Duck in Granville!  We hope to attract a new group of volunteers -- and some may also join as members!  Most of all WE need to be there and it's going to be a great evening of German Foods and a sampling of German Beers!  Details below... INVITE POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS, FRIENDS, FAMILY, CO-WOR\KERS, BUSINESSES YOU KNOW OR WORK WITH -- EVERYONE!

Self-pay, $18 FOR SIX-COURSE GERMAN FOOD TASTING MENU AND SIX GERMAN BEER POURS -- AND A SHOT OF JAGERMEISTER!  Serving starts at 6:30 pm. ($12 non-alcohol option with German Root Beer!)

INTERACT GRANGE HALLOWEEN PARADE & PARTY 2-4PM AT MCNABB FIRE STATION -- We'll need EVERYONE's help in bringing cakes for the cakewalk and for volunteers during the event!  !

Fun times ahead... mixed in with LOTS of SERVICE ABOVE SELF!

PC ROTARY LITTLE FREE PANTRY 

SITE PROVIDES EMERGENCY HELP

For those times when a local family or senior citizen needs help “in a pinch,” Putnam County’s Little Free Pantry will be there, 24-7.  A Little Free Pantry is located in the outer entryway of the Putnam County Community Center on First Street in Standard. 

The project was launched and funded by Putnam County Rotary, with assistance of a Rotary District matching grant, to offer emergency assistance to all PC residents – including those who also qualify for monthly PC Food Pantry pickups. The project also includes a new refrigerator located in the kitchen of the PC Community Center, so that pantry donations may also include fresh produce and prepared foods when the PC Community Center is open.

Following the “Little Free Library” concept, with similar mini-pantries popping up throughout the Illinois Valley, it is hoped that community members will help stock the shelves, and those in need will feel welcome to take what might be needed for the day on an emergency basis.

PC Rotary extends thanks to the Putnam County Food Pantry for its support, and to all project partners who are making the Little Free Pantry Project possible.  Rotary Project Chair Debbie Buffington says, “we are grateful to live in a community that truly cares about the welfare of our neighbors and friends.”
