World AIDS Days

2016

The World AIDS Day CME was organized under the banner of IAPSM. The speakers were

  • Dr Ajay Krishna, Assistant Professor of Community Medicine, PMCH
  • Dr Mukul Kumar, I/C ART Centre, PMCH
  • Dr Himanshu Kumar, Associate Professor of Medicine, PMCH
  • Dr Matin Ahmed Khan, Associate Professor of Biochemistry , Patliputra Medical College Dhanbad (Guest Speaker)

They discussed topics such as Epidemiology & Recent Updates On HIV/AIDS, Harm Reduction-Strategies For HIV Prevention, Empowerment Of Young Women/Girls & Key Populations and Challenges & Investment In HIV Prevention in accordance with the agenda provided by IAPSM. The CME thus organized well supported the theme of World AIDS Day: Hands Up for #HIV Prevention. Poster and slogan competition for MBBS students was organized to inculcate awareness about prevention of HIV in them. The CME culminated in a Health Walk.

On this occasion, poster presentation and slogan writing competitions were conducted for undergraduates. The following were the winning entries:

2011

The World AIDS Day CME was organized as part of the college's monthly interdepartmental teaching programme. Principal Prof Dr NP Yadav presided over the programme. It established the Red Ribbon Club of PMCH with the cooperation of Dr Amar Kant Jha Amar of the Department of Dermatology-Venereology and other faculty of PMCH. It also announced the introduction of ARSH - Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health services in PMCH. The speakers were Dr Ranjeet Kumar Sinha and Dr Ajay Krishna, Assistant Professors of PSM, PMCH.
