Curricular visits

Introduction

Healthcare at PHCs constitutes efforts to serve the population at the grassroot levels. Thus, the members of the department of community medicine strive to keep up the motto. In conjugation, building a comprehensive & most importantly realistic approach in Rotatory Medical/Surgical Interns is a very vital aspect.

Health Training Centres

Currently, the Rural Health Training Centres (RHTC) at Fatuha PHC and Phulwarisharif PHC, and the Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC) at Gardanibagh Hospital Patna are attached to the Department of Community Medicine, Patna Medical College.

Urban Slums

The urban slums near Patna Medical College, and at Adalatganj area of Patna are attached to the department for the purpose of study and exposure of medical students towards family study, ICDS services and NHM initiatives. These are regularly visited by Interns and 7th semester medical students for advancement of their outlook towards primary care.
