How would the most appropriate linkages be made?
People in Action's www.piagrenada.org website first works with the community, NGOs and government institutions through our online process to facilitate the stakeholders in developing holistic, sustainable plans by the identification, analysis and planning for either geographical areas (Community/parks & protected areas) or assets (environmental, agriculture, history, cultural & social).
PIA will post the online process as a measure of accountability and transparency to the needs and aspirations of the local stakeholders. This will also allow full inclusion of all communities and groups, and help to ensure that disadvantaged and marginalized individuals and groups are not ignored.
The website will also contain resources such as national plans, policies and legal frameworks, as well as listing of institutions; NGOs, CBOs, Education, Research and Government agencies to guide both stakeholders and interested volunteer groups or individuals.
Updates will regularly be posted with submissions made by community groups as to their projects and most pressing needs.
The volunteer institutions, groups and individuals can check the current listings on the website – and then apply. PIA will act as the liaison/facilitator to assist both the community and volunteer groups or individual to assure that the appropriate arrangements and paperwork is submitted.
In some cases a bidding process might be, with the most appropriate group, with the most relevant and useful skills picked by the community.
Our packages & reports will be available on:
Center for Responsible Travel
Bowles Green UK
Global Health Institute
PIA will submit projects put forward by the institution, community post their skills and expenses online, and then bid for various jobs requested by other users.
