Call for Teacher Writing

Call for Teacher Writing

We invite Philadelphia Writing Project teacher consultants to submit writing for bi-annual publication in the online Journal.

What We're Looking For

For more than 25 years, the Philadelphia Writing Project has served as a space for teachers to share their voices on important issues in the field and collaborate to improve teaching and learning in our schools. In this tradition, we invite you to write. Share your thoughts, concerns, successes, and creative work with our network. We are looking for:

    • poetry

    • creative writing

    • book/movie reviews

    • essays

    • sample lessons

    • student work

    • resource reviews

    • reflections

    • policy suggestions

Because we publish the Journal online, we are able to accomodate pieces of variables lengths. There is no required length or word limit. We ask writers to decide what length seems appropriate for what they need to share.

Email all submissions and questions to philwpupdate@gmail.com. We also invite authors to participate in a collaborative editing process with peers using Google Docs to review all of the submissions. However, participation in this process is not required.
