HB 1383 - Creates a pilot program where specially trained guardians ad litem or pro bono lawyers would represent pregnant minors in foster care. Opponents complain the mandatory training for those advocates involves a state funded pregnancy counseling program that advocates against abortion.

HB 1063 - The Born Alive Infant Protection Act - would protect fetuses that are alive after an abortion. The bill's sponsor said he filed the legislation in response to a case in which a doctor allowed a breathing fetus to die. Opponents say existing mandatory medical standards for saving a fetus are sufficient.

HB 1097 - The Florida For Life Act would ban abortions in almost all cases. The north Florida sponsor, a Baptist minister, has openly declared his bill to be a direct challenge to Roe V. Wade.
