GEORGIA PASSES 'WOMEN AS LIVESTOCK' BILL

Just when I think humanity has reached its nadir, it manages to step one level lower. According to the National Women's Law Center, Georgia has passed, and the Republican Governor has stated he will sign, a law banning pregnancy terminations after 20 weeks of gestation (WITHOUT EXCEPTION). Democratic Women walked out of the Senate!

Rep. Terry England (R) compared pregnant women carrying stillborn fetuses to the cows and pigs on his farm stating "if farmers have to deliver calves, dead or alive,” then a woman carrying a dead fetus, or one not expected to survive, should have to carry it to term. It also states that women suffering from mental illness would be forced to carry a pregnancy to term.

Although Roe v. Wade set the precedent for abortion to be legal up to 24 weeks, state legislatures continue to ram though restrictive anti-choice laws. How long before Florida proposes such a law?

HOW MUCH MORE WILL WOMEN STAND FOR?
