We are writing to introduce you to an exciting new partnership between Neuro Heroes, an award winning online gym run by highly specialist Neuro Physiotherapists, offering condition specific exercise classes for people with Parkinson’s (and other neurological conditions), and Parkinson’s UK. Together we have created The Neuro Heroes Community Exercise Fund.

Access six Neuro Heroes classes for £15

The fund will subsidise the first six activity sessions for members of the Parkinson’s community who would not normally be able to afford these privately funded classes. Anyone with Parkinson’s who claims Universal Credit or Pension Credit can apply for the subsidised classes (£15 for six sessions).

In addition, health care professionals who believe someone is unable to afford the £15 cost, or work with someone who is not on Universal Credit and would otherwise be unable to afford the session, should get

in touch with Neuro Heroes to discuss the application.

How your patients can apply

Anyone who meets the criteria can complete the Community Exercise Fund application form and access the funding. Individuals can either self refer or be referred by a health care professional.

We are treating this initial phase as a pilot to audit the inclusion criteria and ensure the Community Exercise Fund subsidy reaches people who will benefit. This is vital to shape the future of the fund and to ensure we are reaching out to the right communities.

Share the news so the Fund can get more people with Parkinson's moving!

Please help us spread the word so that we can reach as many people as possible within the Parkinson's community. We know that exercise is medicine, and that it has the potential to make a huge and positive impact on those living with Parkinson's. We want exercise to be inclusive for all and ensure everyone has access to the right support.

The press release from Parkinson's UK is below and we have attached a flyer to be distributed. If you require hard copies of the flyers, please let us know and we can send you some.
