Dear Parkinson’s UK, Bristol Branch

Please allow me to e-introduce you to Dr Siabhainn Russell and Dr Cian O’Donovan.

We are working on a research project funded by UKRI Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Hub. Title: Empowering Future Care Workforces project at UCL.

We are working on understanding how professionals in health and social care, service users, carers /family members can use physically assistive robots to make support better and improve people’s quality of life.

The plan is to explore this with professionals, family carers and people with lived experience of neurological conditions such as Stroke, Muscular dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Cerebral palsy, Parkinson's disease, Motor Neuron Disease, and Acquired Brain Injuries.

We would like your support from your organisation: Parkinson's UK Bristol (parkinsonsbristol.com) to find participants for workshops to have conversations with health care professional (Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, health care assistants), family carers, people with experience of receiving care and support, people providing support, treatment and rehabilitation.

If you agree to forward a short email and flyer to be sent to potential participants with dates for the Online workshops, Siabhainn Russell, (Siabhainn.russell@ucl.ac.uk; 0207 679 9020) will be happy to send the details to you.

We look forward to your support.

Many thanks

Kind regards
