There are many techniques for glazing.
Here are the most simple rules:
1. Mix glaze well
2. Apply a medium coat of glaze
3. Let it dry
4. Add two more coats (for best coverage change the direction of your brush strokes.
Tips
1. If you get glaze on a place where you don't want it. Resist wiping it off. Let it dry COMPLETELY and then scrape it off.
2. Either paint the entire bottom or leave the entire bottom of the piece unglazed.
3. Paint large background areas first. Add details.
4. Consider what you want to look like it is in front of and paint that last.
Ways to Apply
1. Brush it on2. Dip it (at school our supplies are limited so this is not an option)
3. Spray it on (we don't have the set up to do this)
4. Trail it on using a syringe
5. Sponge it on
