Holm/Frigidia - subterranean caverns
Rare
Imagine a beast of formidable size, its body covered in a thick layer of grey fur. An aabader, a six-legged voracious carnivore, is adapted to survive in the harshest of environments, the frigid blizzard conditions of a perpetual winter in the subterranean cavern complexes of Frigidia. Its fur, a blend of silver and ash, provides both warmth and camouflage against the snowy backdrop.
The beast's legs, sturdy and strong, end in sharp, black claws designed for hunting and navigating the icy terrain. Its eyes, a piercing black, are alert and calculating, constantly scanning the environment for prey. Their calls sound like throaty-raspy cawing sounds (that sounds like a crow with a bad sore throat). Despite the harsh conditions, the creature exudes a sense of raw power and primal elegance.

Whenever venturing to the surface, the beast loves perching itself atop the indigenous bulbous mushroom found on Frigidia. The mushroom, with its large, rounded cap and thick stem, stands out against the stark white of the snow. It serves as a vantage point for the beast, a place from where it can survey its icy domain. Luckily, they mostly prey upon hapless Lumbenies (rodent like creatures) and other small-sized prey residing on Frigidia.
This creature is a testament to the resilience and adaptability of life, a symbol of survival against all odds in the face of nature's most extreme challenges. It's a truly awe-inspiring sight.
Aabaders have been known to attack and even kill citizens working in farming or mining areas located on the outskirts of civilization. Any unlucky sentient beings killed by aabaders are easily recognized by the ghastly wounds. They usually prowl and hunt for prey amidst the huge mushroom jungles that grow in the caverns.
