Cooking Tutorial: How to Can Okra

This video show how a person can can okra to keep for several months without it becoming too soft or slimy to fry. The okra can taken from the jar, rinsed in a colander (rinse the vinegar water out) and can be battered and fried as you normally would. Okra does not have to be slimy, but can be crispy and tasty if you brown it in the frying pan.

Also the okra can be use in soups and gumbo.
