The NEIBA Honor Jazz Band Festival typically takes place on the first Saturday in January following winter break. Nominations are solicited late October through early-November and the selection process is completed by early December. The event will be held at Coe College and features three bands (Class 4A, Class 3A and Class 1A/2A) rehearsing with guest directors during the day and giving an evening performance. Guest directors are secondary or collegiate jazz educators from around the area. There is a fee of $15 per selected student.
