Inclement weather/Lightning policy

o If lightning/thunder occurs in the FIRST HALF, please wait the thirty minutes and resume the game from that point. Should a second lightning occur during the first stoppage or again during the first half - the 2nd half will not play and the game will play to the conclusion of the first half only and be a complete game.

o If lightning/thunder occurs at HALFTIME or in the 2ND HALF of a game - the game is terminated from that point and there will be no waiting for the 30 minutes to clear to continue - GAME IS OVER. The score is recorded and the game is complete. Make room for the next game.

o Should a THIRD lightning/thunder stoppage occur regardless of the timing ... the game is suspended at that point and the teams will need to reschedule.

o If the refs make a game time decision the home team should communicate to the club directors if the games are cancelled for the remainder of the day in order to update the weather line for the rest of the games scheduled that day. ex standing water on the field

Ref payment guideline for weather related stoppages

§ If the game is terminated during the first half: The officials are to receive one half of the normal game fees

§ If the game is terminated during half time or anytime in the second half: The officials are to receive the normal game fees.

§ If the field is closed prior to the start of the game: No fees by either team.

o No Show by a team or both teams

§ The team(s) that did not show for a schedule game will pay the full game fees.

§ If a team decides on their own to not play a game and the fields are left open this is considered a late cancellation and the refs will be paid for this by the team(s).
