NKSL League Playbook

NKSL was established in 1979 and has a long history.  NKSL relies on coordination, cooperation and communication between all member clubs to insure the success of NKSL and each individual member Club. Gameday is where the teams compete with each other on the field. Successful Clubs are the foundation of well-being and success of NKSL. As an interdependent program we must operate on a basis of ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE and where all Clubs and members of Clubs are to treat each other with respect and dignity. In order to achieve and more importantly maintain a strong program, and recognize that each Club and members of each Club will deal with all other Clubs and members of those Clubs in the manner and way that they would like to be treated if the situation was reversed. This is accomplished when everyone communicates, coordinates and cooperates with each other.

Recreational soccer programs are intended to provide the opportunity for all interested children within the area served by the Member Organization to participate in and enjoy the game of soccer without regard for athletic ability or soccer skills, up to the limits of the Member Organization to accommodate them. Teams are formed in a random manner. Special guidelines are contained herein for Recreational Team Formation and player assignment.  RECREATIONAL TEAM is a team put together in a random manner in full compliance with the Recreational Team Policies of the Kentucky Youth Soccer Association as specified herein.

The basic rules of play for the NKSL are covered under FIFA, USSF, US Youth Soccer and KYSA rules of play.
