2006 Club Accomplishments
Certainly a rebuilding year from last year's restart. Brennan and Tram got the crew practicing again and jumpstarted the Team Aiya jr program back onto the waters. We have a couple highlights among the team's restart...Sussie is paddling again after giving a kidney to her dad, Doug and Maria are back out on the water, the big guys got in the water and fixed the dock, Dave is mayor, we had a couple nice club house meetings, several writeups in local papers, and we found Rainer!!!
Ga - September 9
Ellen raced with Christina Wang with her Atlanta crew! The team finished 3rd in the Recreation division and 3rd in the B final!!!
Tampa, Fl - August 25-27
Ellen raced with the Philadelphia Spirit gals again and came home with another US National title (Premier women) and a Silver (Masters Women)! Also the Grand Masters crews she assembled with Amiee Moyers (Portland), won the Women's US National Title and their men and Mixed crews finished with Silvers!!! Next stop = Sydney for the 2007 World Championships!!!
