*Yamaguchi (1934) [1] の原記載におけるタイプ宿主はヒラマサとされているが、実際はカンパチであった可能性が指摘されている (小川 2005 [55]).
*The type host of Benedenia seriolae was recorded as Seriola aureovittata (= S. lalandii) (Yamaguchi 1934 [1]), but Ogawa (2005 [55]) indicated that the type host will be not S. lalandii but S. dumerili.
