Working as a nurse always involves building a therapeutic relationship with the patient and their family, colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team. I have always demonstrated professional relationships when on my placements or while working as AIN. I understand how important it is to maintain personal and professional boundaries to deliver person-centered care. I enjoy working with the multidisciplinary team. I experienced the involvement of a multidisciplinary team most when working in the rehabilitation ward at Prince of Wales Hospital. I actively collaborated with physiotherapists, dieticians, occupational therapists, surgeons, general practitioners, social workers, and other allied health team members to deliver person-centered care. I practiced regular handovers using ISBAR handover and communicated effectively with everyone. I also wrote progress notes using A-G, filled out the assessment forms, and documented everything I had done. As, a part of my communication skill assessment, I had taken the Pearson Test of English for which I scored 90 in the speaking section and 76 overall on my first attempt which also explains that I have good communication skills which support me to maintain and engage in the therapeutic and professional relationship. The score sheet of my PTE test is attached herewith for reference.
