Standard 1: Think critically and analyses nursing practice

I understand the expectation of this standard when I practice as a qualified RN. I have always followed these standards when I am a student RN. I always follow the hospital rules and regulations and ethical standards when caring for a patient. I always respect other's values, beliefs, and cultures. I also have knowledge about Aboriginal culture while studying OORA400. I have always tried to respond in a culturally safe manner and will continue to do the same. I always do research about the topic or medication if I am not clear. I always research, think critically and use evidence-based data to inform my practice. I always work towards delivering safe and quality nursing care. For example: When I was in ICU during my placement, many of the equipment and techniques were new to me but I always researched about them and kept me informed so that I could deliver quality care. By looking at my research my facilitator even wrote comments on the summative assessor feedback form. Moreover, I have also got 5/5 on all sections of Standard one in my ANSAT form.
