I am Nikita Karki, a third-year student of Masters of Nursing Practice (Graduate entry) at the University of New England. I am a compassionate, humble, and down-to-earth person. I am empathetic and believe that teamwork is the important factor that brings positive health outcomes to the patient. I have been working as an Assistant in Nursing, a disability support worker, and a team leader in a disability company. I have gained basic nursing skills and patient care from these positions. I have also completed 800 hours of placements in different NSW hospitals which have challenged me to work in different acute and chronic care settings. For now, my major goal is to get a new grad position and improve my learning skills to deliver person-centered care. I am fond of reading books and any new things attract me towards it. I also enjoy teaching so I have a plan to work as a facilitator or clinical nurse educator later in my career. Also, I am a registered pharmacist back in my country which is a positive aspect that will help my nursing career.
