Hullon E. McDonald Jr., 63, of Norman died on Oct. 31, 2009 in Oklahoma City. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 at the Primrose Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.Mr. McDonald was born on November 30, 1945 in Opelika, Alabama to Hullon E. McDonald Sr. and William Dixie Freeman. Mr. McDonald began working as a butcher at an early age. He was a butcher in Norman for over 41 years working at McCalls and Wright's IGA. He married his wife Vetta, on May 1, 1969 in Gainesville, Texas. He loved to watch football, especially OU. He enjoyed watching John Wayne western movies and spending time at Lake Eufaula as much as possible.Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife Vetta McDonald of the home; daughter Shandra of Norman; son, James McDonald and his wife Tara of Wayne; grandchildren, Ethan, Brook, Bryer, Austin, Rodney and Dillon; son, Hullon McDonald III and his wife Laura of Noble; grandchildren, Marissa, Michael, Maicee and Hullon IV; daughter, Julie Stewart and her husband Jeff of Norman; grandchildren, Kiersten and Dakelin; sisters, Helen Checorski of Norman, Mary McDonald of Oklahoma City and Louise Alberts and Her husband Adam of Midwest City; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other extended family members.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet Lowery and daughter, Angela McDonald.Submitted by family
