Gene Edward Mullaney of Norman died Monday, Oct. 23. Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday at IOOF Cemetery, 1913 N. Porter Ave., Norman.
Mr. Mullaney was born April 11, 1944, in Pinkstaff, Ill., to Paul Eugene and Dorothy Marie Mullaney. He lived most of his life in Norman and graduated from Norman High School. He was married to his wife Donna Lowery for 33 years. Mr. Mullaney loved fishing, garage sales and traveling. He also enjoyed collecting Native American artifacts.
Mr. Mullaney is survived by four children, Julie Hernandez and husband Vincent of Austin, Texas, Annette Mullaney of Temple, Texas, Laura Mullaney of Memphis, Tenn., and Christy Mullaney of the home; one brother, Tommy Mullaney and wife Susan of Norman; three sisters, Linda Draper and husband Mace of Norman, Cathy Mullaney of Norman and Vickie Forsythe and husband Ross of Norman; eight grandchildren, Johnathon, Nikoli, Tramale, Mariah, Adesia, Gabriella, Alexis and Erika; and seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home -- Chapel, Moore.
