Our Jamboree experience is coming to an end. Today, the troop members were busy finishing up their activities trying to sqeeze in the last few items before they go home. For some, that meant rafting or scuba or pioneering. For others, it meant finishing up a merit badge or visiting the Indian Village or exploring the mine. The scouts were eager to get in one last day of fun!
Tonight, we'll be sleeping under the stars. The tents will all come down and be packed up this afternoon. The lack of city lights will give us a nce view of the stars as we drift off to sleep.
Tomorrow, we'll rise early, pack up the last few pieces of our personal gear, and head for Six Flags Amusement & Water Park. The Scouts are all looking forward to this. Although they had plenty of water-based activities available during the Jamboree (rafting, sailing, kayak, canoing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba, ...), the water park at Six Flags is always a big hit.
Tomorrow night, we'll be back at the University of Maryland for our final night.
On Thursday, please watch this web site for updates regarding our expected arrival time in Manchester (177 East Industrial Drive). We expect to arrive in the early evening but will provide you with our progress throughout the day to help you judge the arrival time a little better.
