Jamboree Update - 7/30/10 4PM

It's fantastic to see the values and the behaviors that we been teaching

embodied in our youth: older scouts helping younger scouts; scouts saying

please and thank you; scouts meeting new people, striking up converstions,

and making friends from around the world; scouts seeing trash on the ground

and picking it up (without being asked); showing courtesy when waiting in

line; scouts reminding each other to drink water to stay hydrated; and

scouts culminating a patch trade with a handshake. We have a wonderful

group of Scouts.

This morning, members of the Troop started out the day with a 5K fun run.

All who participated were winners. The Troop members then went out

exploring with their buddies. At breakfast, the scouts exchanged stories

with each other of their exploits yesterday. This gave the scouts ideas of

things to try as they headed out.

The weather here was nice today. It was a little cooler and drier today.

There's no rain in sight.
