Jamboree Update - 7/29/10 7PM
Post date: Jul 30, 2010 1:19:53 AM
Today, the Scouts started the day at Mysterium Compass, a series of mental
and physical puzzles culminating in a giant water slide. The Scouts enjoyed
this very much.
The Scouts spent the rest of the day scuba diving, visiting the military
displays, playing paintball, participating in archery and pioneering, and
working on merit badges (among other activities).
At dinner, two Scouts from Puerto Rico joined our Troop for the meal while
two of our Scouts ate with the Puerto Rican contingent. The Scouts are
making friends from around the world.
Today, we got our first taste of rain. It poured for roughly 20 minutes,
but then the sun came back out. The tents all proved to be waterproof and
none of our Scouts melted. Scouting is outing and the events continued despite
the rain.
Several of the Scouts went off this evening to see the Koshare Native
American Dancers perform. We have performances every evening to keep the
Scouts busy.
More updates to follow.
