Today, the Troop awoke to find twoo hot air balloons floating gracefully over the campsite. The balloons are part of the Order of the Arrow Balloon Team. What a nice way to start the day.
Last night, the Troop continued it's effort to get to know some of the international units by inviting two Boy Scout leaders from Russia to dinner. This was very interesting as the Russian leaders spoke almost no English, and we spoke no Russian. But, somehow we communicated.
Today, two of the Patrols tried the confidence course. The course is a series of team building in the outdoors. It consists of both low and high obstacles for the Patrol to navigate. It's a lot of fun.
Tonight is the large arena show. All of the scouts are looking forward to this event. There are several bands scheduled to play as well as a huge fireworks show. Mike Rowe, from the TV show Dirty Jobs, is scheduled to make an appearance.
More updates to follow.
