Troop 123 began the day at Arlington National Cemetery. This was a very
moving experience for the Scouts as they viewed the changing of the guard
at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The Scouts then headed for the National Mall. A sea of Scouts as far as
the eye could see. The future leaders of America. What a wondeful sight.
The Scouts visited the various museums and monuments and had a great time.
A separate group (with leaders) headed for the National Zoo to see the
various animals.
On the way back to the buses, members of Troop 123 proved what they were
made of. They came upon a woman who had fallen down and needed help. They
immediately came to her aid, treated her for shock, and eventually helped
the woman back to her hotel. I can't begin to tell you how proud of them I
am. This is a wonderful group of Scouts.
More updates to follow.
