Dorcrest - A small logging town at the far northeast of the continent that borders an imposing mountain range. Along with being a place where loggers gather because of the wide sea of trees, the town also serves as a road up into the hills for those attempting to reach the summit. The local elders have, in recent years placed regulations on the number of trees felled out of fear of angering the spirits who dwell up in the mountain pass. These regulations are rarely opposed, after several incidents in the past. According to legend, the peak of the mountain is home to an ancient bird whose feathers radiate fire. While few have ever made claim to sightings, occasional freak fires have been blamed on it. Many novice explorers attempt to scale the peak in order to glimpse the massive bird, however none seem to ever succeed, returning empty-handed.
Ostbourne - A growing town to the northwest of the Holy City, Ostbourne is heavily reliant on trade due to being a branching point for multiple routes to other trade cities. A number of farms and ranches surround its borders, leaving it with something of a rustic feel. Above all, Ostbourne is well-known for making excellent whiskey and cigars.
Regnum - The capitol of the entire continent, the Holy City is considered a near-invincible fortress against any sort of attack. Surrounded by dense mountains and lush land, it has been able to hold itself for centuries. In terms of consumption and growth, the soil seemingly blessed with an ever-plentiful amount of nutrients that makes food grow remarkably well. It's most praised aspect however is its military though; for whatever unnecessary reason, Regnum continues to maintain a powerful league of warriors despite lacking opposition, allegedly a mandate from the heavens anticipating a final war for the world. They have an unrivaled archery division whose sole purpose is to defend their single route of of the mountain walls from enemies, a feat that no one has ever dared to attempt.
Roselake - A fishing hub remarkably-near the center of the continent comprised of a massive circular lake with a stem-like fissure of a river that weaves its wave south; seen from above or afar, the area looks similar to a lake, hence its name. According to legend, Prometheus boasted at the impenetrable landmass that had been dedicated to him to his sister, who took a single glance at it and simply shook her head. The following night, the earth shook as if something mighty had struck it, and people awoke to find that a large chasm had torn itself wide open in the ground. The Goddess felt guilty realizing the unrest her vindictiveness caused, and the crater began to fill itself with water from the sea---this is a local legend that few outsiders believe in, most passing it off as something an earthquake inadvertently created. What is true, however, is that many large fish such as sharks have managed to find their way inland to the lake.
Snowhaven - A small settlement to the far north beyond the near-impenetrable mountain range that seals off that portion of the continent. Wracked by blizzards year around they survive off a sizable amount of herbs and hunted game, a small mixture of nightshade vegetables mixed in via trade. They are well-known for producing fine warriors, more than one swordsman or archer in the Royal Guard said to be descended from families originating there. Their ruling body is a single man referred to as the Elder whose decisions are binding but unarguably just and well-meaning for Snowhaven.
