Name: Kausalya Metheus III
Aliases: Royal Thaumaturge, Talking Robes of Sigiswald
Age: Alleged centuries old
Race: Spirit Folk
Gender: Female
Height: 5'3''
Weight: 0.5-104lbs
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Appearance:
Often called the Talking Robes of Sigiswald, Kausalya's appearance is something up for debate. Constantly veiled behind a pair of burgundy red robes with the Sigiswald family crest on its lapel and gold-colored embroidery around the sleeves and lower hem, only one or two throughout history can truthfully claim to describe her properly. Her loosely-kept hair is a confirmed grayish-white though, indicative of old age, and an occasional glimpse of her eyes reveals them a pale violet. She carries herself with an unsophisticated and leisurely gait, oftentimes coming off as disrespectful to officials (usually those of the Order of the Illuminati) for all her haphazardness.
Intrinsics:
Boundary Stone: A superior Boundary Stone wielded by Sigiswald's Royal Thaumaturge. The development of Regnum's capitol city has left it a mere shade of its former self, but Kausalya still manages to perform scrying and the occasional miracle with it.
Alien Composition: Non-material Fair Folk all exhibit a strange phenomenon referred to as Wave-Particle Duality, drastically reducing their weight and altering their connection to the physical world.
Possessions and Artifacts:
Bone Rod: A two-foot rod shaped allegedly carved from bone taken from a dragon's finger. Once per day it can call forth a raging torrent of dragon's fire to scorch a foe. As one of her prized possessions, Kausalya never willingly uses it outside the most dire circumstances.
Background:
Publicly known as the granddaughter of one of the first kings' closest advisers, rumor has it she may have the bloodline to ascend the throne if necessary. Ever since the reigning king took ill, little has been seen of her outside obligatory appearances. Most of her time is allegedly spent caring for him alongside his daughter, a bizarre tale when her family's miracles are taken into account. The unproven, unspoken truth of the matter is something more bizarre though. A confidant of the first, Kausalya has quietly served as the family's Thaumaturge for ages. As a Spiritfolk of unknown power, her presence and sway over the royal family is a bone of contention between them and the Order of the Illuminati, who maintains that humans must separate themselves from otherworldly things. Fortunately for Sigiswald and unfortunately for the clergy though, no one is sure enough of the creature's power enough to oppose her. It's said that the public outcry resulting from the deposition or destruction of a figure so iconic to the city's history might lead to an overthrow of the Order; they've not yet tried their luck.
