NEW May 1 Bailey Junior High Talent Show

From Mr. Santiago,

The Social Studies STAAR has passed, WAHOO! Yet, we still have some of the most important concepts of the year still to learn. Today I have incorporated a new learning strategy that will help students with recall and application of that information to writing. Each night your student is to complete a 3-5 sentence reflection and get a parent initial to show the learning has happened. Statistics show that students learning increase if the parent and the student are communicating about their learning. The fact is that it increases by 92 %.(Link to data: http://goo.gl/FslOlR ) I have the students communicating through an evening writing prompt Monday through Friday. The assignment will be due every Monday through the rest of the year. If you have any questions or even suggestions on how to help your student increase their learning just shoot me an email.
