Sorry I am not in class today - my back is causing me great discomfort

Please work on the following in class today - we will review all of it on our next meeting

1- Watch the Kony 2012 video

2- Work on the brochure for your Final Project - this will obviously be a rough draft that you will bring this to our next class meeting

3 - Research the role Human Rights plays in Consumerism - look at the products we purchase, where they come from and who makes them - make sure you have something tangible for our next meeting

lastly, please use your class time productively and have a great weekend!

Boy soldiers are morally responsible for the acts they commit in wars.

How does a child become a killer?

What did you know about the civil wars in in Africa?

What would sustain you in this situation? – faith hope – spirituality

Some of the rehabilitated will become soldiers again – thoughts?

Did this film changed the way you feel about Africa/African wars/Child soldiers. - Any inspiration from the Film? – UNICEF

Ponder

There are actions that can never be redeemed.

A person, once he has committed certain actions, can never live a normal life.

We hold teen gang members in the U.S. responsible for their crimes, even though they grow up in situations that make their choices almost as inevitable as Agu’s.
