Achievements:
· Took one centre from impending closure to a 3 year ERO report in 11 months
· Increased funding with increased roll growth from 50% to 100% capacity
· Improved centre wide facilities and curriculum planning to enhance positive learning outcomes for all children
· Implemented centre wide self-review of environment, communication, programme planning, philosophy, appraisal and biculturalism
· Member of Lollipops National Policy Review Committee
Responsibilities:
· Lead centre wide self-review
· Support all staff to be professional and reflective practitioners
· Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional learning and development of personal professional practice for all staff members (teaching as inquiry)
· Design and implement a high quality induction and mentoring programme for provisionally registered teachers in the centre (all were successful in attaining their practising certificates)
· Provide a high level of educational leadership to all staff to ensure the development of high quality education programmes for all children
· Complete a range of administrative/reporting duties with specific guidelines relating to Early Childhood licensing criteria, regulations and the Lollipops Educare Operations Manual
· Build positive and collaborative relationships with the families within the centre and local community
· Collaborate with and mentor ECE centre directors across the Auckland region - focus on biculturalism and appraisal systems
· Complete a range of administrative/reporting duties with specific guidelines relating to Early Childhood licensing criteria, regulations and operations
· Keep web based programmes - Infocare and Storypark - up to date and relevant for staff, families and government agencies
· Be visible in classrooms and available as a support for all staff
