Responsibilities:
· Deputise for Principal when delegated the responsibility
· Monitor assessment administration, data entry and analysis at classroom level, within learning area
· Provide analysis and possible solution development in relation to school targets
· Coordinate the update/review of the Teaching and Learning Handbook as required
· Oversee and provide guidance to teachers in the learning area needed
· Responsible for the continued professional development of teachers within the learning area
· Effectively monitor the performance of faculty members through the execution of the Performance Management Programme
· Be visible in classrooms and available as a support for all staff
· Give frequent, clear, specific and constructive feedback to staff in need of support
· Engage in learning conversations as a lever for development
· Communicate regularly with staff; observe, model and utilize staff expertise to ensure curriculum implementation is current, relevant, effective, and reflects striving for excellence
· Support high quality professional learning to assist teachers in developing fully effective teaching practices
· Monitor professional learning and teacher inquiry in action
· Establish and maintain good communication processes with staff, and between staff and members of the senior management team
· Liaise with other Learning and Teaching Faculty Leaders regarding the integration of planning and resources
· Communicate information effectively and regularly with faculty area teachers
· Effectively carry out delegated administrative and organizational tasks in relation to learning area
· Monitor the budget of learning area
· Coordinate Graduate Student Teacher programme
· Meet regularly with both student teachers and Associate Teachers
· Ensure the successful implementation of an induction programme for Provisionally Registered Teachers
