What bike will you be riding? Last year I found the unsealed section between Mirboo North and Balook a bit rough on the 700c x 28mm tyres, so this year I'll be using 650B x 42mm. Good old Casseroll she's tough as old boots and very dependable. Click here for some more photos of her in action on the Gippsland Gold / Down Dirty 200 Permanent in September.The Carradice Super-C saddle bag worked well for all the gear needed for a long unsupported ride. However, I still prefer the handle bar bag for easy access to snacks,and camera, plus easy viewing of the route notes and map. Wouldn't do for the ride organiser to get lost.
