The worst of the storms were avoided. Although the rain was constant and at times heavy, the predicted thunder storms stayed away. Phew!
An enforced detour gave an opportunity to discover some new and interesting routes in the valleys below the Grand Ridge Road. Probably a little bit more interesting than expected, but the creek crossing sans bridge certainly added a little bit of spice as the ride became an adventure to remember.
