The sixth edition of Jam for Jamieson will take place on the 3rd December 2016. Registration is open, CLICK HERE to grab a place. There are only a few spots left, so don't hang about. For more info see the Jam for Jamieson event page on Facebook.
Please read this before going any further - This event is extremely tough and challenging. If you are not confident in your ability to successfully complete the event please try something a little less extreme before deciding it is for you. You will be asked to provide details of having done an event of similar difficulty. Please be honest in your response.
The bail out options are very limited and may involve staying over night at Woods Point or Jamieson if you get into difficulty. Rest assured, your safety is a priority but you are expected to prepare appropriately for Alpine conditions and equip yourself accordingly. Carrying a Spot Tracker is strongly advised, and can be made available on request.
Please contact me if you require further information about anything mentioned above before signing up.
Third of the Mixed Terrain Series, Jam for Jamieson is the big daddy of the series.

The third event of the Mixed Terrain Series, and by far the toughest. It features long climbs and fantastic scenery in the Victorian Alpine Region.
This year, for the first time, there will be two distance options 300 or 400. Both rides are fully supported by if your planning to take on the 400 you'll need to have done an event of similar difficulty or one of the previous Mixed Terrain 200s.

Update for 2014 Edition
Another year over and time to look forward to the next edition in 2014. Its looking like the Glenmaggie start works well for the current course, and has the right accommodation facilities. The event date will be confirmed in September, but early December is looking good. Check out the photo album below for a taste of what will be on offer for the 2014 edition.
The exact start/finish location is yet to be decided. Its currently looking like it will be one of the caravan parks close to Glenmaggie.
If you are unsure about your ability to complete the ride or just want to get a bit of training in on a short event, the Grand Ridge Road Randonnée in November would be ideal preparation.
Back Ground
It seemed like a good idea at the time. A Mixed Terrain Randonnée Super Series.
This ride is a gives a real taste of the Victorian Alps as it heads south from the Gippsland planes through Licola and on to Jamieson and the Upper Goldburn before returning via Woods Point.
The upper time limit for a Audax Australia 400 is 27 hours. This looks like its going to require the full amount.
