We agreed that the contract is not required, but a great way to hold kids accountable. They can submit it to you, they do not need to be submitted to the managers, but you MUST INFORM THE MANAGERS IF A STUDENT DROPS!

2019 SCHEDULE - York High School


Schools should arrive between noon to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. 1:00 to 5:00 rehearsals :-) We have the auditorium as a holding area whenever people want to get here. One important detail-busses are to drop off students at the AUDITORIUM ENTRANCE in the back of the school. Thanks!

3:00pm Instrumental Concert (doors open at 2:30)

TICKETS: $5 per person / $20 cap for family
MMEA District 1 Festival Rules (as stated on the contract):No student is allowed to use or possess tobacco or possess alcoholic beverages at the festival.Students MUST ATTEND ALL FESTIVAL REHEARSALS. Students who do not attend all rehearsals will be removed from the festival and will not be able to participate in the concert. There are NO exceptions to this policy. It is the teacher’s responsibility to ensure that their students are present and on time for rehearsals.Students must follow additional guidelines for the festival outlined by the host school. Students who do not follow these guidelines may be asked to leave the festival and may face loss of eligibility.Students must be accompanied to the festival by a music teacher from their school. Home­schooled students must have a chaperone as well.
MMEA District 1 High School Honors Concert DressWomen: All black gown (floor length) or black dress that falls below the knees with solid black tights/nylons (opaque) or they may wear a floor length black skirt and a black dress shirt or dress pants are also allowed (no black skinny jeans, yoga pants or leggings permitted). Black hose and black shoes.Shirts and dresses must have NO SHOULDERS SHOWING. (no tank tops, sleeveless or spaghetti straps)Men: Black dress pants and black dress shirt. Long Black tie and black shoes. (no black jeans)Band: Black dress pants (no black jeans, yoga pants or leggings)Black dress shirtMen wear long black tie, black socks, black shoesWomen wear black hose and black shoes. Shirts must have no shoulders showing. (no tank tops, sleeveless or spaghetti straps)
