We agreed that the contract is not required, but a great way to hold kids accountable. 
They can submit it to you, they do not need to be submitted to the managers, 
but you MUST INFORM THE MANAGERS IF A STUDENT DROPS!

2018 SCHEDULE

FRIDAY, JANUARY 19, 2018

Please have your buses drop off your students at the main entrance. (All other doors are locked during the school day.) Students will report to the auditorium. When the rehearsal areas are ready, announcements will be made in the auditorium to dismiss students to those areas. We are trying to keep the hallways clear because school is still in session at Noble until 2:25.

Rehearsals 1:00­-5:00 
Breaks at managers’ discretion. Snacks AND CONCERT TICKETS will be sold.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 20, 2018
Please have your buses use the main entrance ­- there will be Noble students directing traffic. Schools will be escorted to their homerooms to drop off their stuff before rehearsals. Please make sure your students are adequately chaperoned in the homerooms. We expect the rooms to be left as you found them ­ thank you for your help with this.

Rehearsals begin at 9:00am. 
Each ensemble will have a dress rehearsal onstage. A detailed schedule will be available soon.

Lunch is available for purchase. Full meal combo for $5 or individual items for $1­-$2.

TICKETS: will be sold during breaks as well as before the concert. Encourage your students to purchase tickets for their families on Friday to avoid waiting in line on Saturday.  $5 per person / $20 cap for family

PARKING
There are enough parking lots around the school. If a lot is full keep going around toward the back and there will be more lots. Many people got tickets last year because they were parked illegally. Please encourage the parents of your students to park legally!

MMEA District 1 Festival Rules (as stated on the contract):
  1. No student is allowed to use or possess tobacco or possess alcoholic beverages at the festival.
  2. Students MUST ATTEND ALL FESTIVAL REHEARSALS. Students who do not attend all rehearsals will be removed from the festival and will not be able to participate in the concert. There are NO exceptions to this policy. It is the teacher’s responsibility to ensure that their students are present and on time for rehearsals.
  3. Students must follow additional guidelines for the festival outlined by the host school. Students who do not follow these guidelines may be asked to leave the festival and may face loss of eligibility.
  4. Students must be accompanied to the festival by a music teacher from their school. Home­schooled students must have a chaperone as well.

MMEA District 1 High School Honors Concert Dress

Women:  All black gown (floor length) or black dress that falls below the knees with solid black tights/nylons (opaque) or they may wear a floor length black skirt and a black dress shirt or dress pants are also allowed (no black skinny jeans, yoga pants or leggings permitted).  Black hose and black shoes.
Shirts and dresses must have NO SHOULDERS SHOWING. (no tank tops, sleeveless or spaghetti straps)

Men:  Black dress pants and black dress shirt. Long Black tie and black shoes. (no black jeans)

Band: 
Black dress pants (no black jeans, yoga pants or leggings)
Black dress shirt

Women wear black hose and black shoes. Shirts must have no shoulders showing. (no tank tops, sleeveless or spaghetti straps)
