Lentil Soup

  • 1/2 lb lentils
  • 3-4 large carrots sliced
  • 2-3 stalks celery sliced
  • 2 small or 1 large onion sliced or diced
  • 4 sweet or hot sausages
  • 3 cloves garlic crushed
  • 4 cans broth (or homemade) beef, chicken or combo
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • Shredded cabbage
  • salt and pepper to taste

Bring all ingredients to a boil and simmer until vegetables and lentils are tender.

Approx. 30 minutes.
